If you want to budget correctly go get your free credit card reports. A credit score is the foundation to your finances.

Take a look at your month gross income and that will be your starting point on how to divvy that up each month. For example, let's say that you have a take home pay of $2,000 even. Now you must take that whole number and subtract your monthly expenses that cannot be ignored. This part can be sketchy because you need to separate what is a need and want.
